Auckland Disability Providers Network Inc.

In December 2009, the ADPN made a submission to the Auckland Regional Council on the draft Auckland Regional Land Transport Strategy. The submission was drawn up following consultation with representatives from the sector. As a result of this we have been invited to speak at a hearing in February 2010 at which we will reinforce the need for people with disabilities to be considered at all times when long term plans for transport around the region are being made. Auckland is fortunate in having such wonderful natural facilities so close to the city. The Regional Parks are managed by the ARC and a Draft Regional Plan was published, inviting submissions.
